Kate Winslet, I salute you

I have to say that I've always liked Kate Winslet. I think she's a pretty classy lady and a great actress. I like that she defends her "curvier" (er, in this case I'm sure size six, but still...) frame amongst the emaciated size 00s of Hollywood. It's refreshing, actually. And I have been blown away by her stunning choices for the Golden Globes and the SAG Awards this year. I can't wait to see what she wears to the Oscars.

For the Golden Globes, Kate chose this elegant Yves St. Laurent gown, which she embellished with Chopard diamonds.

For the Screen Actor's Guild (aka SAG) Awards, she chose this flawless cobalt Narciso Rodriguez gown and again sported Chopard diamonds. (And you better believe she was rocking some Loubies too!)

Kate Winslet, I salute you (or, at the very least your stylist) for choosing such incredible gowns.

P.S. Have you entered my giveaway yet? Because I just may be throwing in a little something extra. I'm just saying...

She's one of my favorites for so many reasons!

I'm not sure how I feel about the black dress she recently wore with the super shiny fabric criss-crossing her chest though. I don't remember what she wore it for, but it wasn't exactly flattering.

oh i know exactly what dress you're talking about. i believe she wore it to the UK premiere of revolutionary road. i personally agree and think it was a poor choice, the shiny fabric and the shape were not very becoming. i loved the earrings that she wore though. and i'm glad she stepped it up for awards season.
