Feeling a bit Betty Draper-ish today...

Probably because I'm wearing this skirt.

I won't lie, I feel instantly feminine in this full, tea-length skirt. And it's surprisingly light for a summer's day. Today I've paired it with a simple, scoop-necked white tee with half-sleeves (also from Anthro) and my favorite grey wedges from H&M. Though I love the outfit displayed above paired with a tissue thin, white, short-sleeved cardigan like this.

Playing with color

Last night at Apothica, I came across a lovely little nail polish color called "splash of grenadine," which is a part of Essie's new Resort Collection. Some would contend that $8 is a bit much to spend on nail polish, but Essie puts out such a great product that the polish lasts without chipping for over a week (without a top coat... so think about how long it can last with one).

And now my toesies feel all summery.

(I'll let you in on a little secret... if you buy it on Amazon... you can get a bit of a deal. I'm just saying...)

Three in one...

I could see myself wearing this as a cover up for the beach, as a fun girlie nightgown or as a casual summer date night dress (paired with a short sleeved summer cardi). And with a price tag of $68 it's hard to resist.

Dear Gap,

The next time you release a pair of Pierre Hardy for Gap wedges, would you please save a pair for me? They came out today and are pretty much unattainable. Already. And they're so pretty and tall. I lust them a lot. Sigh.

Sincerely,
L

Update: Thanks to the INCREDIBLE customer service team at Gap, I am now the proud owner of these lovelies. After multiple emails and calls to NYC, they are now on their way, all thanks to the research and help from the Gap team. Huzzah!

Picture me rollin'

around town in one of these.

There's just something lovely about a Schwinn. (Although personally, I think I prefer the vintage version a bit better. You better believe I have been trolling Craigslist for the perfect one.)

Since the husb and I live in the city, we want to take advantage of all the it has to offer this summer, without being encumbered by a vehicle. Why drive when you can bike?

Plus, I could accessorize with a cute helmet and maybe even put a basket on the front. For Farmer's Market purposes. Summer can't come soon enough!
